Good stuff as always Jay, thanks!!

My top 5 for the Hart would be:

1. MacKinnon
2. Giroux
3. Malkin
4. Kucherov
5. Bobrovsky

Hi Jay, love your blogs.

Little mistake though about your goaltender winning the hart though, you forgot about Carey Price.

Unless the recent years don't count as "the expansion era"?

I think it will be close between mck and hall, both carrying their teams on their back and it may come down to see who makes the playoffs, if both I think mck will have the edge

Kuch has had an amazing season and is putting up points but is on a stacked team and he hasn't carried the team like the others, if he gets MVP it's due to points and playoffs, points alone it would go to mcdavid

Pretty sure Mario won the Hart in 1988 on a Pens team that missed the playoffs. He SHOULD have won it again in 1989 when they did make the playoffs. But . . scoring only 31 more goals than Wayne wasn't MVP worthy. 😂
